A strong garage opens more options for road racing, drifting, Time Attack, dirt events, and Convoy activities, while Forza Horizon 6 Credits remain an important part of the normal process of acquiring and preparing vehicles. The most effective approach is to build around the events and driving styles that are actually enjoyable rather than treating every car as another item on a checklist.
The current Horizon Mascot Party provides a good example of this philosophy. Its temporary Edamame Time Attack Circuit gives players a limited-time venue for chasing faster laps, with in-world and Convoy leaderboards allowing results to be compared with friends and other drivers. The leaderboard also tracks the car's current PI level, making vehicle choice and tuning part of the challenge.
Time Attack is particularly useful for improving consistency. A common mistake is to focus entirely on braking later, even when a late braking point makes the corner exit worse. A better method is to establish a reliable reference lap and then improve one section at a time. If a corner leads onto a long straight, sacrificing a little entry speed can be worthwhile if the car can return to full throttle earlier.
Tuning should follow the same gradual approach. If the car feels unstable while braking, more engine power is unlikely to help. If the rear tires constantly lose traction, a more controlled power delivery may be more useful than another upgrade. Testing one change at a time makes it easier to understand whether a suspension adjustment, gearing change, tire upgrade, or differential setting actually improves the car.
The current Festival Playlist also rewards garage variety. The official playlist includes different types of championships, Horizon Drift activities, Time Attack events, Drag Meets, PR Stunts, and seasonal rewards. That variety means a car prepared for one discipline may not be ideal for another. A road racer can be excellent on clean asphalt but frustrating when a challenge suddenly moves onto dirt.
Dirt driving requires a little more patience. Smooth steering helps prevent a small slide from becoming a full spin, while careful throttle application can keep the car moving forward instead of wasting speed through unnecessary wheelspin. On jump-heavy sections, keeping the vehicle stable before takeoff can also make the landing easier to control.
Drifting is about to become a major new activity. Drift Attack is scheduled to launch on September 7 and will transform Shimanoyama Circuit into a permanent Shared World drift venue. Instead of chasing the fastest lap, players will compete for drift points, with Clipping Zones providing opportunities to increase scores. Convoy and in-world leaderboards will also be available.
That makes drift preparation worthwhile. A good drift car does not simply need enormous horsepower. Predictable throttle response and controllable rear-wheel behavior can be more important when trying to maintain a long slide. Starting with moderate drift angles is a useful way to learn how throttle and countersteering interact before attempting more aggressive transitions.
The new feature also introduces the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition through the Horizon Festival Campaign, giving players a dedicated drift-oriented reward to work toward. The car adds another reason to explore a driving style that may feel completely different from conventional road racing.
The next Festival update will also bring a British Automotive celebration beginning September 10, including a British-themed dealership takeover. For collectors, themed events are a good reminder that a useful garage should include more than one category of car. Classic machines, modern sports cars, rally builds, and drift setups can all become relevant when the Festival changes its focus.
